1- Update webpack.mix.js file with:

mix.js("resources/js/app.js", "public/js")
      .postCss("resources/css/app.css", "public/css", [
        require("tailwindcss"),
      ]);

<script defer src="{{asset('js/app.js')}}"></script>

3- Replaced tailwind.config.js content prop with

 content: [
         "./resources/**/*.blade.php",
         "./resources/**/*.js",
         "./resources/**/*.vue",
       ],
