You should probobly learn docker.
It takes 1 hour and will make your developer experience much better.

If you want to start a mongodb docker container, try:

`docker run -p 27027:27027 -d mongo`

This will run the mongo container:
	- With port 27017 exposed to yourself and the outside world (this isnt required if your app also runs in a container)
    - In detathed mode, you can close the terminal and the app will still run
    	do `docker ps` to see all the contianers, do `docker rm -f (name)` to stop the contianer
        
Docker is a valuable tool, learning it will make it 1000x easier to do things
