Step-by-step solution when being stuck on "Waiting for image" loading.

1. Click on the top panel’s lightning button (Actions), choose Ctrl + Alt + Del.
2. On the blue selection screen, click Cancel.
3. Click on the top panel’s monitor button (Display settings), choose Auto-Adapt resolution. The desktop should show. If it doesn’t, resize the window and try again.
4. After doing that - click: Reset Initial Resolution (same menu > just under 'auto-adapt resolution')
