First of all you are trying to use the python 2 print syntax. And when you want to run something with python -c you have to put the code in apostrophes.
For example:
	python -c 'print("Hi mom!")'
    
So your code would look like this with python2: 
	python2 -c 'import sys; print "%s.%s.%s" % sys.version_info[:3];'

And with python3:
	python3 -c 'import sys; print("%s.%s.%s" % sys.version_info[:3]);'
