    Instances are spread across logical partitions.

    Instances in different partitions do not share the same underlying hardware. this approach is used by large distributed and replicated workloads ( like Hadoop, Cassamdra and Kafka)

    Each partition is located on a separate AWS Rack, and there can be up to 7 partition per AZ.
