Remove package="com.your.unique.package.name" attribute from the 
<manifest> element in the AndroidManifest.xml file of your app module

Add it to the app module build.gradle i.e build.gradle(:app) using 
namespace

android {
     ...
     namespace 'com.your.unique.package.name'
}
